 The Embraer Certification Office made application to the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) requesting a Deviation to OTAR 21.25 to permit Bermuda to issue a Type Acceptance Certificate for a Type Design that has been approved by National Civil Aviation Agency – Brazil (ANAC). 

BCAA has conducted a risk assessment and determine that issuing a Deviation to the OTAR 21.25 would provide an equivalent level of safety.   A copy of the Deviation can be found here

In observance of the Christmas and Boxing Day public holidays, BCAA will be closed on Monday, December 26 and Tuesday, December 27.  Our offices will reopen on Wednesday, December 28 at 8:45 am

BCAA will also close on Monday, January 2, 2017 in observance of New Year’s day.  Our offices will reopen on Tuesday, January 3 at 8:45 am.

The Airworthiness Notice has replaced the former Letter to Operator's, which is being phased out. The Airworthiness Notices are now published on the BCAA website and may be found here.

The Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) recently made its official debut at the 6th Annual Offshore Aircraft Registration Summit held in Hamilton, Bermuda. This is the first event since the October 1 transition of the Department of Civil Aviation to the semi-autonomous BCAA.

Please note the RNP1 requirement for Hong Kong FIR. All BCAA aircraft that operate within this FIR will need to have their Airspace approvals reflect this fact.
